New Study Sees a Link Between Sedentary Behavior and Higher Cancer Risk (Boston.com)

This video discusses a recent study by the National Cancer Institute that combined the research from 43 studies on sedentary behavior, totaling over 4 million participants and 68,000 cancer patients. The results found that those who spent the most time watching TV or sitting at their desks at work saw their risk of colon cancer, lung cancer and endometrial cancer go up by as much as 8% for each additional 2 hours per day spent sitting.
