Sitting time linked to disability regardless of physical activity (CBC)

CBC reports on a study of 2,286 Americans aged 60 and older that found that average time spent being sedentary during waking hours was almost 9 hours. The study found that the odds of disability were 1.52 times greater for every one hour increase in sedentary time, independent of the amount of time that participants spent exercising with moderate to vigorous activity.
